Funeral for Doris Lee Jackson, 60, of Priceville was Thursday, Apr. 24, at 1 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Oden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson died Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2008, at University Hospital in Birmingham. She was born Apr. 3, 1948, in Morgan County to Buel Robert Childs and Jessie Pauline Childs. She was maintenance supervisor at Mutual Savings Life Insurance Co. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with them and taking pictures of them. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Helen Marie Childs, and a brother, Robert Earl Childs.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ray Jackson of Priceville; three sons, Mark Anthony Miller, Michael Shayne Campbell and Jerry “Perky” Campbell, all of Decatur; three daughters, Tammy Lee Miller of Athens, Ladonna Lynn Baker of Priceville and Lisa Michelle New of Hartselle; her mother, Jessie Pauline Childs of Decatur; three brothers, Bobby Ray Childs of Concord, N.C, Paul Marlow Childs of Decatur and Fred Childs of Oden Ridge; two sisters, Sharon Ann Binkley of Decatur and Geraldine Jackson of Hartselle; and 14 grandchildren.
Family members and friends were pallbearers.
