Funeral for Garry David Atchison, 68, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Apr. 29, at 2 p.m. at McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church in Portland, Tenn. with the Rev. Alex Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Atchison died Saturday Apr. 26, 2008, at his residence He was born in Portland to Paul Atchison and Edith Faullin Atchison.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Atchison of Hartselle; a son, Brian Atchison of Portland; a brother, Ronny Atchison and wife Carolyn of Nashville; a nephew, Kevin Atchison of Manchester; three stepdaughters, Kim Sapp and Nesha Mahathy, both of Hartselle and Nikki Long of Moulton; a stepson. Joel C Sapp of Hillsboro; and six stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley.
