Priceville students tapped for conference
By Staff
Summer Caver and Faith McRaney, students at Priceville High School, have been selected to attend the Congressional Student Leadership Conference on Medicine and Healthcare, an event sponsored by LeadAmerica. The CSLC is a college-accredited invitational leadership program for academically talented and promising young leaders from the United States and around the world.
Caver and McRaney will join other high school students with records of academic achievement and extracurricular or community involvement who are invited to participate. The CSLC on Medicine and Healthcare is a 10-day program in which students take on roles as healthcare professionals and learn to manage a patient’s case, making healthcare decisions based on medical facts and circumstances presented each day. In a hands-on learning environment, Caver and McRaney will work with cutting-edge robotic simulators that respond like real patients, or participate in a patient simulation where medical actors play the roles of patients with unidentified illnesses.
