OSO Center offering children’s summer programs

The summer program at The Osborn, Warren, Oden Recreational Center in Hartselle began May 20, with an orientation program; however, registration is continuing.
The program is open to children of ages six through 16. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The membership fee for the entire 10-week program is $100.
The program curriculum consists of seven lessons that teach basic nutrition, diet, and activity skills. Special activities include a Bike and ATV Safety Rally conducted by Hartselle Police Department, a vacation Bible school sponsored by New Covenant Church, a patriotic program on July 3, a Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge mini-camp on July 17 and an end-of-summer party on Aug. 1. In addition, skating, bowling and swimming will be offered.
