Claude Bivens Scott

A memorial service for Claude Bivens Scott, 97, of Cedar Grove, Fla., will be Sunday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church.
Mr. Scott died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Bay County Memorial Hospital in Florida. He was born Feb. 14, 1911, in Hopkinsville, Ky. to Aaron Bevins Scott and Mary Jane Stacy Scott. He was a long-time resident of the Massey community in Morgan County and had lived in Bay County, Fla. for the past 28 years. He was a member of the Panama City Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he was active for many years. His first wife, Mabel Sandlin Scott, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Davis Stanford of Cedar Grove, Fla; a son, Jim R. Scott of Gardendale; a daughter Nancy Judith Beaver of Huntsville; three grandchildren, Michael Fredrick Scott of Gardendale, Gregory Beaver of Wetumpka and Shannon Michelle Scott of Madison.
