Speed monitoring sign approved for District #4

In a move to combat speeding on rural roads, the Morgan County Commission has agreed to purchase a portable digital speed monitoring sign for District 4.
The sign was requested by District 4 commissioner Stacy George who called attention to a speeding problem in his district.
He said the sign would be purchased off the state low bid list at a cost $18,000 to $20,000 with District 4 revenues.
The commission acted on other matters as follows:
