Funeral for Juanita Heard Greeson, 59, of Decatur was Tuesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Decatur with Dr. Rob Jackson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Greeson died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at her residence. She was born August 26, 1948, in Morgan County to Robert Heard and Nora Hogan Heard. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur where she was very active in Sunday school and children’s ministries such as AWANIS, DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids) and vacation Bible school. She was an artist and a member of Decatur Art Guild, the National Society of Decorative Painters and the Alabama Guild of Decorative Artists (AGODA). She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Greeson of Decatur; a son, Kevin Greeson and wife Kristi of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Zachary and Kyler Greeson; three stepgrandchildren, Dylan, Chloe and Walker Thompson; and many nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were Jon Haussler, Steve Hillis, Dale Standridge, Ray Brown, Morris “Buddy” Black and Jay Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews and friends of the family.
