Funeral for Kenneth Maxwell “PoGo” Miller, 60, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), June 5, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Goodwin, Steton Hayes and Gary Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Miller died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 2, 1947, in Calhoun County to James Lamar Miller and Catherine Miller. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Tony Gerald Miller.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly McMurray of Tennessee and Rebecca Miller of Falkville; his mother, Catherine Miller of Falkville; two brothers, Jimmy Miller of Decatur and Dennis Miller of Falkville; a sister, Reba Jean Moran of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Janice Akers of Sherman, Tex.
Pallbearers will be Jere Harrell, Jack Hyde, Jimmy Benefield, Larry Chaffin, Jim Miller, Wayne Miller, Jay Moran and Kenneth Mayfield.
