Funeral for Douglas Wade Wood, 20, of Hartselle was Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Valhermoso Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Wood died Wednesday, June 8, 2008, in Hartselle. He was born June 30, 1987, in Madison County to Carl Ward and Elizabeth Nixon Ward. He was a certified technician with Jerry Damson Honda in Huntsville.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Liz Wood of De Fenton, Mo.; a brother, Al Wood and wife Sarah of Fenton, Mo.; a sister, Amber Kelly and husband Tyler of Lacey’s Spring; and his grandparents, Dorothy “Dot” Wood and Albert and Marlene Wood and Rodney and Hildred Nixon; and his girlfriend, Bethanne Duncan and family, Bob, Debbie and Alan.
Pallbearers were Gabril Wood, Christian Nixon, Jacob Lang, Joey Turner, Keith Hulsey and Roma Scosyrev.
