Funeral for David S. Dudley, 83, of Lacey’s Spring was Sunday, June 29, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Manley officiating.
Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Dudley died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1925, in Morgan County to Uke Dudley and Jenny Hill Dudley. He was a member of Valhermoso Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann Dudley who died in March 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Woodard Dudley of Lacey’s Spring; three sons, Hardy Lee Dudley and wife Jenny of Cotaco, Jackie Wayne Dudley of Valhermoso Springs and David Ray Dudley and wife Donna of Florette; three daughters, Gail “Sheree” Freeman and husband Buddy, Carolyn Jean Parker and husband James and Cathy Champion and husband John, all of Decatur; two sisters, Ella May Henderson of Talucah and Ebbie Lee Thomas of Valhermoso Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tracy Dudley, Brian Springer, Matthew Dudley, Jimmy Darnell, Josh Franklin and Michael Owens.
