Ray Blankenship

Funeral for James Ray Blankenship, 55, of Hartselle was Sunday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Blankenship died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1952, in Morgan County. He was an electrical, plumbing and heating and air conditioning contractor and owner of Blankenship Builders and Services. He was a member of New Center Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, James Paul Blankenship.
Her is survived by his wife, Claudia Ray Blankenship of Hartselle; a son, James Paul Blankenship and wife Britney of Austin, Tex.; his mother, Joyce Maples Blankenship of Hartselle; two brothers, Bobby Blankenship of Hartselle and Carl Blankenship of Somerville; a sister, Nancy Herring of Hartselle; a grandson, Hayden James Blankenship of Austin, Tex.; and three stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Whitney and Dalton.
