Funeral for Reggie Saunders, 63, of Somerville was Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 2 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Smothers and Eddie Bond officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Saunders died Friday, July 11, 2008, at his residence. He was born July 24, 1944, in New Jersey and lived there for the first 18 years of his life, after which he moved to Somerville and lived there for 45 years. He worked for Saginaw/Delphi for 23 years, was a member of the Shriners of North Alabama and the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He was an avid fisherman, a member of the HAMM Radio Operators Association (KE4WEO) and a trained storm tracker.
He is survived by his wife, Adell Saunders of Somerville; a daughter, Teresa Jones of Somerville; a grandson, Jamie Jones of Somerville; and other children and grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chuck Natola, Terry Speegle, Jerry Jackson, Roger Dempsey, Bobby Bean and Van Fairbanks.
Honorary pallbearers were fellow workers at Delphi.
