Eschel Lenear Taylor

Funeral for Eschel Lenear Taylor, 78, of Vinemont was Tuesday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Eva with Ben Riley and Millard Mann officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Morgan County to William Hugh Taylor and Amanda Jester Taylor.
He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and was retired from the Morgan County School System.
He is survived by his wife, Gwennell Taylor of Vinemont; two sons, Steve Taylor and wife Terry of Vinemont and Richard Taylor and wife Debe of Frankfort, Ky.; two sisters, Delores Wright of Tarrant and Margaret Compton of Eva; five grandsons, Tim Taylor and wife Leslie and Chris Taylor, all of Vinemont, Patrick Taylor of Ft. McClellan, Hunter Taylor, who is serving aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt out of Norfolk, Va. and Fisher Taylor of Bessemer; and numerous cousins and friends and a large extended family.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
