Man faces burglary charges

A Holly Pond man is behind bars after sheriff’s deputies discovered him allegedly attempting to steal diesel fuel from a tank located near Eva School.
Deputy Shannon Ferguson was making a routine check of school grounds July 18 when he discovered James Byron Yarbrough Jr., 20, at the diesel tank. The lock around the tank had been cut. A pair of bolt cutters and several empty gas cans were found in his truck.
Yarbrough is charged with possession of burglary tools, a felony, and criminal mischief third degree, a misdemeanor.
