James, Staniszewski to wed
Tim and Glendora James of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Leanne James, formerly of Decatur and now of Atlanta, Ga. to Richard Michael Staniszewski of Atlanta, Ga., son of Richard and Gail Staniszewski of Fayetteville, Ga.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Powell of Decatur, Recil Shelton of Decatur and the late Noble Shelton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bobby James of Decatur.
A 1997 graduate of Austin High School, she graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a degree in economics. She received her law degree in 2004 from Mercer School of Law.
She is a member of the Georgia State Bar, Buckhead Club in Atlanta and owner and partner of Cook and James Law Firm in Atlanta, Ga.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Staniszewski of Fayetteville, Ga., Anastasia Zubrycky of Fayetteville, Ga. and the late Paul Zubrycky.
A 1991 graduate of Fayette County High School, he graduated from Georgia State in Atlanta in 2000 with a degree in psychology. He served in the US Navy from 1994-98 and is employed with Cbeyond-Atlanta as an industrial engineer.
He is a member of Buckhead Club in Atlanta and the Grant Park Association of Atlanta.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 10, 2008, at the Biltmore Hotel Ballroom, Atlanta.
