The opening of the principal’s position at Hartselle High School has attracted widespread interest within the education profession, according to Dr. Mike Reed, superintendent of Hartselle City Schools.
A committee composed of faculty representatives and parents will be a part of the interview process,” Reed said. “They will sit in on the interviews but will not be asked to rank or vote on the candidates. But they will have the opportunity to express their opinions as to the suitability of each candidate to fill the principal’s position.
The principal’s position opened up on July 7 after the school board voted unanimously to transfer Reeves to the central office as director of school operations and student services.
