Terry, Norris to wed
Steven and Karen Terry of Moulton announce the engagement of their daughter, Krystle Antoinette Terry, to Joe-Walter Richard Norris, son of Jeff and Judy Norris of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Wendell and Paulette Terry of Moulton, Margaret Boyles of Moulton and the late Luther Boyles.
A graduate of Lawrence County High School, she received her associate degree in business from Calhoun Community College. She is currently attending Athens State University working on a bachelor’s degree of business management with a minor in human resources. She is employed as a customer service representative of Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corp.
The groom is the grandson of Myrtice Norris of McCalla, the late Paul Norris and Walter and Flora Gandy of Bessemer.
A graduate of Hartselle High School, he attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville and is currently enrolled at Calhoun Community College working towards a business degree in administrative science.
He is employed as a processing technician for Lockheed Martin on Redstone Arsenal.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 21, 2008, in Hartselle.
Vassilevski, Williams to wed
Panayot and Tanya Vassilevski of Sofia, Bulgaria announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Vassilevski to Richard “Ryan” Williams, son of Glenn and Teena Williams of Somerville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Menka and Spiro Vassilevski of Varna, Bulgaria, and
Genka Kostova and the late Valcho Kostova of Sofia, Bulgaria.
A graduate of the Germand Language High School of Sofia, she received her bachelor’s degree from the California Institute of Technology and her master’s degree and PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
The future groom is the grandson of Elizabeth Kelly of Decatur, the late Rev. Jasper Kelly, Faye Williams of Somerville, and the late Harold “Buddy” Williams.
He attended Brewer High School and graduated from the Alabama School of Math and Science in Mobile. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and his PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Both the bride and groom have received research fellowships in the School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 6, 2008, at Princeton United Methodist Church in Princeton, New Jersey.
