Hartselle Airport receives grant

Hartselle’s Municipal Airport is one of the facilities receiving funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Hartselle will receive $39,631 to install fencing around the airport’s perimeter. The fencing is aimed at increasing security at the airport, as well as preventing animals from getting onto the runway.
Decatur’s Pryor Field will also receive funding. Pryor Field is receiving $38,760 to go towards the construction of a new terminal on the northern portion of the airfield.
