James N. Brown

A graveside service for James N. Brown, 81, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Brown died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008. He was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Lawrence County to Willie Lee Brown and Bama Leoda Harden Brown. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving as a sergeant. He was retired from Wolverine Tube. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ludie Mae Huskey Brown.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Brown of Hartselle; three daughters, Judy White and Jeanette Groover, both of Hartselle and Jo Ann Sturms of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Billy Joe Brown of Decatur; two sisters, Martha Shipley of Hartselle and Doris Lindsey of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren and friends were pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
