Warren E. ‘W.E.’ Davis

Funeral for Warren E. “W.E.” Davis, 87, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was in Shoal Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born June 13, 1921, in Blount County to Robert Davis and Clara Lively Davis. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Burgreen Construction Co.
He is survived by a son, David W. Davis of Hartselle; a daughter, Margaret Posey of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Thomas H. Davis of Decatur; two sisters, Vergie Dorothy Hopper and Ola Mae Segars, both of Decatur; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David W. Davis Sr., James Posey, David Posey, Mark Curtis, Tommy Davis and Michael Liles.
