Eva Frontier Days returns Sept. 20-27

Eva Frontier Days will return Sept. 20-27 to bring a taste of old fashioned fun to Morgan County. The annual event includes a week of activities for the entire family.
The event will begin Sept. 20 with a beauty pageant at Eva School at 10 a.m.
There will be a bluegrass festival that day with jamming starting at 3 p.m. then Stan Nelson, Hurricane Creek Band and others at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $6.
On Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a hayride at the Eva Saddle Club Arena.
On Sept. 25 at 7 p.m., there will be a community singing at the Eva Community Center.
The big day is Sept. 27, with antique car and tractor show registration beginning at 9 a.m. and a parade at 11 a.m. There will be a craft show all day and a fun run starting at Eva School at 9 a.m.
A baking show with cash awards will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Lions Club will be hosting a bed race at 12:30 p.m. and there will be a best dressed contest at 12:30 p.m. also.
Live entertainment will be presented from 1:30 -3 p.m.
A pig calling contest will begin at 3 p.m. followed by a frog jumping contest at 4 p.m. and a greased pig contest at 5 p.m. Those events will be held at the ballfield.
There will also be games for all ages, rides, food vendors and more.
