Funeral for Eroy Turner, 74, of Danville was Monday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Rodger White and Barry Cook officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Turner died Friday, Sept, 5, 2008, at his residence. He was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Morgan County to Arnold Roy Turner and Alberta “Bert” C. Ann Cooley Turner. He was retired from Monsanto Co. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leon Turner; and a sister, Florene Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Mabelou Turner of Danville; two daughters, Karen Delores Standridge and husband Larry of Trinity and Delane Gunn and husband Tommy of Decatur; a stepson, Barry Cook and wife Leisa of Decatur; a stepdaughter, Marsha Hart and husband Gene of Danville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
