Funeral for Eloise Elizabeth Vernon, 81, of Danville was Monday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at Lebanon Church of God at Speake with Jim Nelson and Denzel Borden officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Vernon died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at NHC in Moulton. She was born Feb. 17, 1927, to J.C. and Cora Vernon. She was a member of Lebanon Church of God. She loved gardening and loved her family. She was preceded in death by a son, Butch Kelso, a grandchild, a great-grandchild and five brothers.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Kelso and wife Faye, Ronnie Kelso and wife Joyce and Bruce Kelso and wife Betty; two sisters, Merle Dean Kelso of Speake and Doris Stewart of Hartselle; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dr. Vora and his nurses.
Pallbearers were Jamie Vernon, Tracey Kelso, Benny Hill, Shane Griffith, Wayne Woodard and Scotty Vernon.
Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Parker, Tyler Parker, Dakota Hill and Josh Rutherford.
