Funeral for Maude “Maggie” Shull Guyse, 84, of Decatur was Sunday, Sept. 28, at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Guyse died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Feb. 15, 1924, to Jim Shull and Annie Reed Shull. She worked as a welder during World War II. Her proudest achievements were her children and being a good mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carl Guyse Sr., a son, Homer Carl Guyse Jr. and three brothers, Willie Shull, James Shull and J.P. Shull.
She is survived by two sons, Allen Guyse and wife Debby and Joe Shull and wife Betty; a daughter, Wanda Gallien and husband Stanley; two stepdaughters, Lois Livingston and husband Carrell and Carolyn Aldredge and husband Bill; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
