Sparkman Junior High receives grant

Funeral for “J.J.” John Henry Johnson, 49, of Falkville was Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Teal officiating.
Burial was in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died Sept. 28, 2008, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Jan. 2, 1959, in Morgan County to Clarence Wesley Johnson and Imogene Steele Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by six brothers, Henry Johnson and Wesley Johnson, both of Hartselle, Douglas Johnson of Cullman, Larry Johnson of Cedar Bluff; Terry Johnson of Falkville and Roger Johnson of Decatur; four sisters, Linda Adamson of Cullman, Joyce Dodson of Trinity, Janice Lindsey of New Brocton and Mary Blackstone of Boaz;
23 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers were Robert Lanningham, Joey Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Ricky Wilhite, Elliott Hollingsworth and Brandon Johnson.
