Funeral for Agnes Green Maddux Weeks, 83, of Eva was Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery near Eva.
Mrs. Weeks died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Morgan County to Jesse C. Green and Ruth Oakes Green.
She was a member of Hamby’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Eva. She enjoyed the fellowship at the Eva Senior Nutrition Center and beautiful flowers. Family was very important to Mrs. Weeks and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Edd Maddux and Hershel Weeks; a son, Lowell K. Maddux; two brothers, Wm. Ellis Green and Russell A. Green; two grandchildren, Brandy Maddux and Matthew Lynn Flowers; and a sister-in-law, Bettye Maddux Green Payne.
She is survived by three sons, Jesse Randall Maddux and wife Charlene of Falkville, Rodney Howard Maddux of Eva and Joe Ronald Maddux and wife Michelle of Granite Falls, Wash.; three daughters, Sue Box and husband Robert and Connie Weeks, both of Eva and Marsha Corbin and husband Sandy of Blum, Tex.; 10 grandchildren, Patrick Maddux, Vincent Maddux, Tammy Brown, Jan Buckelew, Jeanonna Hill, Jonathan Corbin, Shannon Miller, Thomas Maddux, Jason Maddux and Brittany Maddux; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie Holmes and husband Emern Jr., Deliphene Miller, Joan Ozbolt and husband Joe and Jessie Ruth Sturdivant and husband Claude; a sister-in-law, Faye Bennett Green; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Corey Cheatham, Josh Roden, Billy Brindley, John Holmes, Allen Green and Mark Ozbolt.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeanonna Hill and Stephanie Berry.
