High school students visit elementary schools
By By Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
S.A.A.D. members relied on fellow students to help them get their message across. Their helpers included senior band members, varsity athletes, cheerleaders and representatives of student clubs and organizations.
The rallies were conducted one after the other in each school’s gym. Students arrived wearing red ribbons provided by S.A.A.D. They sat and cheered as senior members of the HHS band played, cheerleaders voiced yells and senior athletic academic leaders gave testimonies about the danger of using illegal drugs.
Pointing to the red ribbon on his chest, twin Manqu/ Jones added, “It’s cool to say no to drugs.”
