Martha Ann St. John Smith

A graveside service for Martha Ann St. John Smith, 66, of Hampton Cove was Saturday, Oct. 4, at Blue Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008. She was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Morgan County to William Jennings Bryan St. John and Alice Wray St. John. She was a seamstress and a member and secretary of the Arab Rescue Squad for many years. She was a certified EMT and worked for Arab Ambulance Service for several years. She is survived by a son, Thomas Alan Smith of Arab; a daughter, Teresa Smith Brumlow and husband Tim of Hampton Cove; two brothers, J.E. St. John and wife Joyce and Edward St. John and wife Letha, both of Priceville; a sister, Sue Stanley and husband Gordon of Hartselle; and a granddaughter, Caroline Brumlow of Hampton Cove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, North Alabama Chapter, 117 Longwood Dr. SE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
