Three men charged in truck theft

Three Hartselle men are charged with receiving stolen property in the first degree.
Roy Edgar Griffin, 47, William Byrd, 32 and Anthony Bradford, 45, are charged in connection with a stolen truck.
The arrest came after investigators and narcotics agents went to 132 Griffin Drive in Hartselle looking for a subject who was wanted on a warrant for probation violation. While there, the deputies noticed a completely stripped white truck in a shed. A check of the Vehicle Identification Number revealed the truck had been stolen from Eva on Sept. 26.
Bradford was also charged with possession of controlled substance and carrying a canceled weapon without a permit.
Griffin and Byrd were released on $5,000 bond each and Bradford was released on $7,800 bond.
