Funeral for Ashley Elizabeth Holmes, 25, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at Fairview Church of God in Falkville at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Ms. Holmes died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 20, 1983, in Morgan County to Glynn Franklin Holmes and Dana Elizabeth Dobbs Holmes. She graduated from Hartselle High School in 2001, as a member of the National Honor Society. She attended the University of Alabama and Calhoun Community College. She worked full time at Pat’s Poodle Parlor out of her love of animals. She was also a server at Sedona’s Steak House out of her love of people. Her grandparents, Mary “Jackie” Dobbs and Luther Holmes, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her parents; a brother, Matt Holmes and wife Michelle of Danville; two nieces, Kaitlyn and Kylee Holmes of Danville; and grandparents, Cozi Holmes and Dan Dobbs, both of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Mitch Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs, Jeffrey Dobbs, Jason Holmes, Scott Holmes and Michael Reed.
