Burglars hit a string of businesses in downtown Hartselle last weekend, causing damage to stores and taking cash.
Slate Gallery and Framing, Van’s Barber-shop, DJ’s Country Cooking, Party Express and Holladay Antiques were all hit sometime in the night of Oct. 13. Workers at DJ’s discovered the break-ins when they arrived early the morning of Oct. 13 and called police.
Slate, Van’s and DJ’s are located side-by-side.
The burglars used the backdoor of each location to enter the store. Money was stolen at each but no other items were damaged. Some of the doors had been kicked in, others had been pried open.
Police believe the suspects were on foot. Foot prints were photographed at the scene. Sparks said police have some leads in the case and the investigation is continuing.
