Funeral for Mark Edward Summerford, 53, of Falkville was Friday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Church of God with the Rev. Milan Dekich officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Summerford died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008. He was born Dec. 22, 1954, in Morgan County to the late Edward “Eddie” Summerford and JoAnn Frost Rogers. He was a member of Fairview Church of God. He loved fishing and farming and was an avid Alabama fan.
He is survived by four sons, Joshua Edward Summerford of Falkville, Marcus Edward Summerford of Gulf Shores, Chase Logan Summerford of Decatur/Auburn and Alexander Reed Summerford of Decatur; his mother, JoAnn S. Rogers of Priceville; three sisters, Melissa S. Shryock and Melinda J. Summerford, both of Falkville and Melanie K.S. Wood of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Killian Lamar Summerford and Lauren Page Summerford.
Pallbearers were Eugene Steel, Tony Leonardi, Glynn Holmes, Mal Patterson, Tom Summerford and Doug Higginbotham.
