Decatur campaign earns award

McWhorter Communications, a full-service advertising, internet and public relations agency, was honored recently at the annual Public Relations Council of Alabama state conference. The firm received the organization’s highest award of Best of Show for its comprehensive reputation brand management/integrated marketing campaign for “The City of Decatur: A Grand City on a Charming Scale.” Elements in the winning entry included the development of the brand, creation of www.DecaturAlabamaUSA.com and www.decatursports.com web sites, sports marketing ads and brochures, a comprehensive signage program, marketing pieces for individual departments of the city, billboards and consumer ads, as well as photography.
