Funeral for Ronald Cannon Sr., 69, of Somerville was Monday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Emeus Cemetery.
Mr. Cannon died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at his residence. He was born April 6, 1939, in Cullman County to Laddie Bright Cannon and Lena Bell Dodd Cannon. He was born in the Berlin Community in Cullman County and was a bricklayer for 44 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was deeply loved and was a loving father and a wonderful grandfather. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roger Barton Cannon, Cole Columbus Cannon and Dale Carter Cannon; and a sister, Sue Elizabeth Cannon.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Cannon and Ronald Douglas Cannon Jr.; a daughter, Samantha Cannon; a stepdaughter, Alice Miller; two brothers, Laddie Bright Cannon Jr. and Tommy Cannon and wife Jessica; three sisters, Brenda Gower, Connie Castlebury and Melba Jones; eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mark Cannon, Tony Cannon, Matt Miller, Stephen Miller, Jeff Richie, Laddie Bright Cannon III and Zach Richie.
