Funeral for Jimmie Wayne Martin, 67, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald McDonald officiating.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Martin died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 15, 1941, in Morgan County. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from 3M Company as a maintenance worker and welder. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Powell and his grandparents, J.M. and Viola Martin.
He is survived by a son, Tim Martin and wife Kelyn of Hartselle; two daughters, Vickie Sharp and husband Dudley of Hartselle and Cindy Martin of Decatur; a brother, Monty Powell of Hartselle; two sisters, Doris Caver of Decatur and Elizabeth Vinzant of Hartselle; and two grandchildren, Riley Nicole Terry and Reagan Leigh Martin.
Pallbearers were Terry Lindsey, Phillip Stringer, Bryron Vinzant, Brian Vinzant, Billy Martin and Lyle Harper.
