A memorial service for Blake Matthew Alvey. 16, of Hartselle was Monday, Nov. 24, at 6 p.m. at Fairview Church of God with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Blake died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Jan. 18, 1992, in Texas. He was a student at Brewer High School and played basketball and volleyball. He liked the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Ben Alvey.
He is survived by his parents, Michelle and Steven Krahn of Hartselle and Shane and Garnet Pierce of Louisiana; a brother, Steven Krahn Jr. of Hartselle; two sisters, Amanda Samantha Krahn and Ryne Krahn, both of Hartselle; great-grandparents, Otho and Sybil Toomes and Billie Alvey, all of Hartselle; his grandparents, David and Kim Alvey of Hartselle, Bettie Krahn of Seguin, Tex. and Debbie and Ray Clinard of Texas; two aunts, Lauren Davis and Samantha Alvey, both of Hartselle, Misty Flores and Megan Dean, both of Texas; two uncles, John Krahan of Texas and Wes Davis of Hartselle; and three cousins, Jordan Allyssa Flores and William Dean, both of Texas, and Trinity Davis of Hartselle.
