Funeral for Mike Murphree, 59, of Somerville was Monday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m. at Union Church of Christ with Minister Tom Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Murphree died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at his residence. He was born Sept. 17, 1949, in Madison County to Ellard Earl Murphree and Theresa Lott Murphree. He was owner of Mike Murphree Bulldozing. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Dunaway Murphree of Somerville; a son, Michael Murphree of Colorado; a daughter, Shannon Murphree of Nashville, Tenn.; and a sister, Alice Faye Lemley of Cullman.
Pallbearers were Brian Matkin, Donald Ray Rolfe, Chad Brooks, Jimmy Moody, Chris Adcock and Lionel Sheppard.
