Funeral for Mildred Mae Vinson Sams, 77, of Falkville was Saturday, Nov. 22, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ernest Morris officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sams died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Feb. 6. 1931, in Morgan County to Curtis Clarence Vinson and Bertha Mae Woodall Vinson. She was a member of Vinemont Christian Church. She worked as a secretary for Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corporation, Woodard Electric Co. and drove a bus for the Morgan County School system. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ed, Clarence and Pete Vinson; and two sisters, Lucille Cobb and Ruby Lindsey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Sterling Sams of Falkville; three daughters, Betty Harris and husband Clarence and Iwanna Amrein, all of Falkville and Linda Grisham and husband Gorman of Decatur; a sister, Maggie Blevins of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchldren.
Pallbearers were Ryan Grisham, Chase Grisham, Jonathan Tibbett, Kyle Williams, Maxwell Amrein and Guy Holloway Jr.
