Funeral for Bessie Mae Bussman, 67, of Hartselle was Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frances Moss officiating.
Burial was in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bussman died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. She was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Wayne County, Tenn. to William Bridges and Maude Franks Bridges. She was supervisor of the child nutrition program for Decatur City Schools. She was a beautiful soul, always a kind, giving and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved children, cooking, baking, shopping music and animals. She gave her all to everyone she knew, and always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Anthony Bussman.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Bussman of Hartselle; a son, Hank Bussman of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Lena Bussman of Indianapolis, Ind. and Penny Landes of Tampa, Fla.; her mother; a sister, Juanita Tacker of Brownsburg, Ind.; a half-brother, Bill Bridges of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Harmony Bussman of Indianapolis, Brooke Bussman of Rockhill, S.C. and Maxwell and Rachael Landes of Tampa, Fla.; and a great- grandchild, Christian Bussman of Indianapolis.
Pallbearers were George Colucci, Dennis Morgan, Chuck Rehage and Tony Posey.
