Citizens Bank office closes

Bank Independent completed its acquisition of Moulton-based Citizens Bank last week. Bank Independent will acquire all the offices, deposits, loans and assets of the Moulton based bank.
All of the Citizens offices will continue to operate except the Hartselle office. Those customers will be served by Bank Independent's Hartselle office
Bank Independent was organized in 1947 and will operate 28 offices serving 16 communities in six counties of North Alabama. Following this acquisition, the bank's asset size will be more than $900 million.
