Falkville school earns national nod
By Staff
A Morgan County high school has been ranked among the nation’s best, according to US News and World Report.
Falkville High School is a bronze winner in this year’s report of America’s Best High Schools.
Falkville is one of 54 high schools statewide to earn the honor and one of only two in Morgan County to achieve the honor. Decatur High School also earned Bronze Award honors.
Loveless Magnet High in Montgomery earned the state’s only Gold award; Mountain Brook High School, Vestavia Hills High School and Virgil Grissom High School were named Silver award winners.
Bronze award winners demonstrate better-than-average performances among students and show equally strong performance among disadvantaged students.
Falkville and Decatur are included in the Dec. 8 issue of U.S. News and World Report.
