A memorial service for Frances McAbee Johnson, 71, of Hartselle was Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Elder officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Johnson died Monday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born April 7, 1937, in Morgan County to Samuel D. McAbee and Mary Magdaline Jenkins McAbee. She was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Johnson and Randy Johnson; and a sister, Nina Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, Alton Johnson of Hartselle; two grandsons, Zach Johnson and Eli Johnson, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; and four brothers, Marian McAbee, Horace McAbee and John McAbee, all of Hartselle and Dewayne McAbee of Moulton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, The Gideon’s or a favorite charity.
