Funeral for Iva Nadine Powell, 73, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Pitts and William Powell officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Powell died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1935, to James William Harris and Melissa Williams Harris. She was a member of the Pentecostals of Hartselle. She is survived by her husband, William Henry Powell Jr. of Hartselle; a daughter, Brenda Kay Powell Piontkowski of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, William Arthur Harris of Lincointon, N.C.; a sister, Betty Jean Steele of Vinemont; two grandchildren, Jennifer Kay Pointkowsk and Joseph William Pointkowski, both of Colorado Springs; 12 nephews; and eight nieces.
