Funeral for Mary Douthit, 87, of Eva was Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Blue Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph McCollum officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Douthit died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1921, in Jefferson County to William Henry Stephens and Annie Florence Huey Stephens. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Douthit and a son, Cecil Eugene Douthit.
She is survived by three sons, James David Douthit III and wife Wanda of Rainbow City, William Stephen Douthit and wife Glenda of Eva and Robert Alan Douthit and wife Kenna of Guntersville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four nieces.
Pallbearers were Chris Douthit, Eric Douthit, Brad Douthit, Brandon Butler, Greg Metcalf and Nick Douthit.
