Melba ‘Jo’ Stevens

Funeral for Melba “Jo” Stevens, 68, of Somerville was Sunday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph McCollum officiating.
Burial was in West Point Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevens died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1940, in Morgan County to Andrew J. Stevenson and Lucille Stevenson. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church and a hostess at Jack’s Family Restaurant where she leaves behind many friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was preceded in death father and her husband, James E. Stevens Sr.
She is survived by a son, Jim Stevens Jr. and wife Angie of Huntsville; two daughters, Daronda Lynn and husband Terry of Hartselle and Terry Shollenberger and husband Dave of Somerville; her mother, Lucille Stevenson of Somerville; a brother, Andrew “Shorty” Stevenson of Somerville; a sister, Diane “Jackie” Luhmann of Eva; and four grandchildren, Marijo, Robbie and Jamie Stevens and Michael Lynn.
