Funeral for Roger Daniel Letson, 50, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Revs. Reuben “Lucky” Teague and Billy Cagle officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Letson died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at his residence. He was born Sept. 15, 1958, in Michigan to Byron Daniel Letson and Eva Christine Turner Letson. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He was so proud of his three children and loved spending time with family and friends. He was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first granddaughter Madison Paige. A member of Flint Baptist Church, he worked at Wolverine Tube for 21 years and most recently he was employed at Independence Tube in Decatur. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Carolyn Letson Hood.
He is survived by his wife, Lyn Barbrey Letson of Hartselle; two sons, Wes Letson and wife Ami of Birmingham and Zach Letson of Hartselle; a daughter, Lindsey Letson Kirby and husband Wheeler of Hartselle; his mother, Eva Letson of Hillsboro; and two brothers, Joey Letson and wife Lisa of Hillsboro and Ronald Letson and wife Marie of Moulton.
Pallbearers were Chase Barbrey, Nick Benson, John Hall, Gary Green, Justin Hargett and Randy Barbrey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flint Baptist Church Building Fund.
