Miller, Holmes to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller of Chipley, Fla. announce the engagement of their daughter, Erika Leigh Miller, to Zachary Wayne Holmes, son of Kenneth Holmes of Falkville and Bambi Holmes of Eva.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Miller of Graceville, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rogers of Chipley, Fla.
A 2004 graduate of Chipley High School, she is a 2007 graduate of Troy University. She is currently employed at Import Partners LLC in Birmingham as Senior Creative Director.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Childers of Eva and Mr. and Mrs. Emern Holmes of Eva.
A 2001 graduate of Falkville High School, he is a 2006 graduate of Huntingdon College.
He is employed by the Marshall County School System at Brindlee Mountain High School as a history teacher.
He is also offensive coordinator for the varsity football team and head coach for the boys and girls track teams.
The wedding is planned for May 30, 2009, at Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
Clark, Phillips to wed
Mr. and Mrs. James Earl Clark II. of Houston announce the engagement of their daughter, Nichla Marie Clark, to Jonathan Lynn Phillips, son of Lisa Stegall Parrish of Tuscaloosa and Henry Lynn Phillips of Birmingham.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen D. Sandlin of Moulton and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Earl Clark of Danville.
She is a graduate of Hartselle High School. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in apparel and textile design. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
The future groom is the grandson of Ms. Eleanor Wheeler Vanhoy of Dallas, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ware Stegall of Columbus, Miss. and Julia Wilder Phillips and the late Henry Boram Phillips of Madison, Miss.
He is a graduate of Hillcrest High School. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He is a member of the Theta Sigma Tau Honor Nursing Society and was a member of Lambda Sigma Fraternity.
The wedding is planned for Jan. 17 at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.
