Hill, Fields to wed
Mark and Netta Sue Hill of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Hill, to Judson Roy Fields, son of Jeff and Johanne Fields of Spartanburg, SC.
The bride is the granddaughter of Junior and Carole Hill of Hartselle, Joseph and Cathy Miller of Apollo Beach, Fla. and Charles and Netta Sue McKnight of Vilas, NC.
She received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Samford University in 2006.
She is a third grade teacher with the Cabarrus County School System.
The groom is the grandson of Jean Fields of Spartanburg, SC and the late Garner Fields and the late Herbert and Sudie Bonnette.
He received his bachelor of science degree in business management from North Greenville University in 2004. He is the events coordinator at Cedar Grove Retreat.
The wedding is planned for April 11, 2009, at Hartselle Fine Arts Center.
Voss, Reynolds to wed
Charles and Judy Voss of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcy Marie Voss, to Mark Evan Reynolds, son of Talmage and Kathy Reynolds of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Travis and Opal Voss of Decatur and the late Herschel and Dorothy Latham of Hulaco. A 1999 graduate of Austin High School, she received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2003 from Freed-Hardeman University.
She is currently working on her master’s degree in school counseling at the University of West Alabama. She is employed with Decatur City Schools at Banks-Caddell Elementary School and is a member of AEA, NEA and DEA.
The future groom is the grandson of Alice Abraham of Memphis, Tenn. and the late Fredrick Abraham Sr. and Esteene Reynolds of Iuka, Miss. and the late Oval Reynolds. A 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School, he graduated from Calhoun Community College in 2003 with an associate degree in nursing and from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2005 with a bachelor of science in nursing. He received his master of science in nursing in 2007 from UAH.
He is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Montclair’s Who’s Who Among Collegiate Faculty. He is employed as a nursing professor at Calhoun Community College.
The wedding is planned for July 11, 2009, at Beltline Church of Christ in Decatur.
