Old wedding photos finding way to owners
By By Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
Volunteers of America in Hartselle is sorting and cataloging thousands of old wedding photos and negatives that came out of a vacant commercial building in Decatur and is looking for the owners.
Donna Maze, V of A director, said the photos were made by the late Lonnie McDaniel and his son Phil in the 1970s and early 1980s and left behind when their business was closed on Second Avenue several years ago.
The photos and negatives are stored in about 25 cardboard boxes. Most of them are in envelopes, which are identified by the last names of the bride and groom. Others with no identification are stacked in a large box.
