Funeral for Ralph Dean Stroupe, 62, of Cordova, Tenn. was Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wendell Bennett and Bro. Doug Strickel officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Stroupe died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at his residence. He was the son of the late Ralph Stroupe and Katherine Wright Bumgart. He recently retired from International Paper after 43 years of dedicated service. He began his career at the Houston, Miss., and container plant and held a variety of roles throughout the container business. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova.
He is survived by his loving wife, Greerlyn Vest Stroupe of Cordova; his mother, Katherine Bumgart; two sons, Quentin Stroupe of Oxford, Miss. and Jason Stroupe of Cordova; two daughters, Jessica Stroupe of Decatur ad Cyndal Hightower of Cullman; a sister, Mary Conner and husband Brian of Houston, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bo Agee, Larry Wilkes, Jim Blue, Bill Hoel, Jay Royalty and Jimmy Fielding.
Honorary pallbearers were South Central Region general managers of International Paper.
